Data Architect for Business Insights.

I am a Data Architect with over 10 years of experience in multiple sectors including travel, events, environmental protection and advocacy. Over the past decade my role has been to engineer data pipelines that would allow sales data to be extracted, transformed and loaded to business intelligence platforms. At the same time I have been tasked to craft story driven analytics and visualizations. Very often I have served as technical or project lead to spearhead these initiatives.

I am a great believer in the mission of an organization. My motivators are both my intellectual curiosity and my faith in the over arching vision of an organization. Most of my career has been in the nonprofit space, working for environmental preservation, social justice or both. I have also found fulfillment working in B-Corps for profit ventures with a clear mission for social good.

Technology is constantly changing. A good data professional is in a state of constant learning and re-invention. I began my carreer working mostly with SQL based relational database packages like Blackbaud's Raiser's Edge and Microsoft Analysis Services. Then I began to connect these packages to emerging visualization platforms such as Periscope Data. I also found it key to leverage intranet platforms like Sharepoint or the G Suite. Eventually, I learned to put all these pieces together to build solutions to address many different data pipeline needs.
